Harish Dadoo. Co-Founder & Managing Partner.
Prior to founding D&A in 1994, Mr. Dadoo had an 11 year career as an independent consultant who advised and introduced global investment banks and foreign multinationals on M&A and JV transactions in Mexico. Concurrently, he founded and managed a retail chain of bakery and convenience stores that grew to 11 units exclusively through strong internal cash generation. Such macro and micro business experiences have provided him with a distinctive, pragmatic perspective in approaching investment banking projects.
Between his college and graduate degrees, he worked at General Motors Mexico as an Industrial Engineer, rising to acting Superintendent.
Mr. Dadoo holds an MBA degree from Stanford GSB and a S.B. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds a AD-2 Senior Management Degree from IPADE. Mr. Dadoo graduated from the American School in Mexico City.
He has lived and was educated in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, and the US.
He participates as Board Member for several privately-held and public companies, as well as educational and community institutions in Mexico.
For 10 years, Mr. Dadoo was a pro bono professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship at Universidad Iberoamericana. He is actively involved in various youth orientation and community organizations.
Shankar Dadoo †. Co-Founder & President Emeritus.
Until 2004 he has represented BBVA Bancomer and other major Mexican Financial Institutions in a wide range of operational and financial restructuring projects for its debtors and investments, either as CEO, Board Member, or consultant to the individual companies. These have included SurtiHogar, Salinas y Rocha, Calzados Canadá, Buró de Crédito, and Hotel investments.
Previously, over a 12 year period, he was CEO of each of the business units of Grupo Femsa having successfully achieved the objective to restructure their operations and significantly improving their profitability. These business units included the Beer, Packaging, Hotel, Processed Food, Retail, and Soft Drink (Coca Cola Femsa) divisions.
From 1976 – 1980 he was CEO of Lance, the country’s 2nd largest biscuit and pasta manufacturer. He executed its operational turn-around and later unsolicited sale to Purina. In addition, from 1959 – 1976 he was with Pfizer as Country Manager in Mexico, in Perú, as well as in various management positions in Argentina.
He held a S.M. degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University and a S.B. degree in Chemistry from Bombay University.
Mr. Dadoo actively served in various business advisory and community Boards. He was also a guest lecturer on management strategy at the Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Carlos Neuhaus. Co-Founder - Peru.
Mr. Neuhaus' prestige has translated into an unparalleled senior level network amongst private and public decision makers in Peru.
Mr. Neuhaus has vast experience in the financial and real estate sectors and currently heads a dynamic shopping mall real estate development group, being on the Advisory Board of the International Council of Shopping Mall Centers.
He has developed an extensive Board of Directors practice - including Joint Ventures with leading foreign strategic players - in the Banking, Energy & Mining, Industrial, and Retail sectors. Currently he sits on the Board of Banco Interamericano de Finanzas, Repsol's La Pampilla refinery, among others.
He holds an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird University and a B.A. in Business from Universidad de Lima. In addition he obtained a post graduate Diploma in Development and Public Finance from Cambridge University.
Jorge Vargas. Associate.
Mr. Vargas joined the firm in 2003 as an Analyst upon obtaining the S.B. degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana.
Starting in the fall of 2007, he attended the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, having been granted the MBA degree in May 2009. He rejoined the firm as Associate in August 2009.
He has extensive experience covering a broad range of industries including: agribusiness financing, advertising, auto parts, automobile distribution, automobile lubricants, coating, construction developer & construction material, education, electrical cable & wire, energy, financial institutions, food & beverage, gaming, insurance, magazine publishing & distribution, offshore services, packaging labels, personal care, pharma, transport: public, school & freight, software development, steel transformation, various retail, and waste management.
Francisco Zambrano. Associate.
Mr. Zambrano joined the firm as an Associate in 2013 after completing his MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He additionally holds a B.A. degree in Financial Management from ITESM Campus Monterrey (Cum Laude).
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Zambrano was an Associate at Radix, a real estate private equity firm in Monterrey.
He has extensive experience in projects including: construction materials, e-commerce, education, private equity, real estate, among others.
Ramesh Agrawal. External Associate - Peru.
Mr. Agrawal has over 14 years of experience in corporate finance and advisory in Peru. He is currently a Principal at Prime Capital Advisors, a local investment banking firm.
He has participated and led numerous capital raising, debt structuring transactions for several of the most important peruvian and south american corporations.
Priorly, and over a 6-year period, he was Investment Head for Oderbrecht in Peru, being co-responsible in the identification, negotiation and financing for the group's infraestructure projects. He was also Finance Manager for Trasbase Olmos and for H2Olmos water and irrigation project.
Between his college and graduate degrees, he worked for 4 years as Corporate Finance Manager at Arthur Andersen / E&Y.
Mr. Agrawal holds a S.M. degree in Finance from London Business School and a S.B. in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico.
He participates as Board Member of 3 Oderbrecht companies and is a writer of specialized financial and economic business articles.
Mr. Agrawal has collaborated closely with our firm for the last 17 years, introducing potential transactions as well as executing the local work.
